Success Stories

Headaches

Julie came for help after years of suffering from migraines, and trying many different techniques and remedies to stop them. She gained control of the headaches for the first time in her life, using this approach and she was also freed of the frustration she'd felt for years as a victim of pain.

It made sense why migraine sufferers have received so much help with this approach. Remember, if the majority of pain is muscles contracting around nerves, it makes sense if you effectively relax the muscles, you lessen or remove the pain.

In the case of some migraines, there is a chemical imbalance involved. That is why it is important any effective treatment improve the working of all body systems. This approach improves all three levels physical, chemical and mental.

At first, Julie, like anyone who's suffered headaches, didn't have a lot of confidence in her ability to control them. She practiced the techniques faithfully, though, and her confidence grew as the headaches disappeared.

Epilepsy

When Bill first came for help, he was suffering from a great deal of depression and stress because he had Epilepsy. Numerous doctors had told him that he was going to have to learn to live with the seizures for the rest of his life. He was told he wouldn't be able to drive or carry on a normal life.

Since Bill began using hypnosis as he was taught in this approach, he has not had a problem with his epilepsy. Bill was so impressed with the improvements in his life that he made a career change and trained as a NEUROTHERAPY Specialist in this method. He's since married and he and his wife now work as a team, helping others make improvements in their lives.

It has amazed us over the years how much power a person has with their mind to improve conditions like epilepsy or other neuromuscular problems like multiple sclerosis. Bill is living proof!

Athletics

Many people dream of being a professional athlete but Speedy made that dream a reality. As a professional golfer for many years, Speedy knew it was essential to control stress and keep concentration high.

People who are leaders in any sport know that stress drastically effects their mental and physical responses. Even weekend golfers know it's impossible to leave a stressful, negative week and be calm and focused enough to play as effectively as they'd like. Athletes who regularly face competition are continually facing the ultimate in stress and can't afford an off day. Effective concentration isn't a luxury but a necessity. That's why you often hear of sports figures and professional teams using forms of mental training.

Work with athletes over the years has shown the dramatic improvements this approach can bring about in athletic performance. Speedy has retired now from professional golf and built a successful career in business. He continues to respect the importance of mental training and uses this approach to help him maintain the same high level of effectiveness in his business career that he always sought as a professional athlete

Work Burnout

Terry's British and he works in engineering for a large corporation. Terry is a good example of the pressures faced by people in management positions. Managers with large corporations have a lot of pressure because companies expect results. A favorite term used a lot these days has been "Executive Burnout".

It's a good feeling to find someone like Terry, who has major stress and help them control it so they don't stroke out.

Believe it or not, when stress is controlled, people actually accomplish more on their job than they ever did, but without spinning their wheels like they used to.

Terry's made major changes in his attitude toward life. The way he puts it is "he's really enjoying life for the first time. A side benefit that's pleased him is the 20 pounds he lost without major effort.

Business Success

Karen is a true American Dream success story. She created and ran a company that was one of the worlds largest producers and distributors of Windsocks. Her company has been the sole supplier of windsocks to the National Football League, The National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball, and she has the only American company allowed to sell windsocks at Disneyland. Imagine, having a job that required you attend the World Series, the Super Bowl and the NBA Playoffs, with free priority tickets, of course!

Karen recognized, early on, the importance of a person's state of mind in order for success at anything. She's worked extremely hard with this approach to keep stress off and stay mentally positive so she could make the right decisions without having to be bogged down with a lot of worry.

What gets a lot of people in trouble, including business people, is emotion. People are very emotional. Those trained in NEUROTHERAPY can help a person get to a point where they can detach themselves in emotional situations. It's a process of removing the emotion from the thought so they can handle the situation and move on to something else. Just better use of their mind!

Karen feels her skyrocketing success is due to the fact that she has always respected the power of the mind, and she's worked to develop it. No magic!

Cancer

Richard is a very brave person who has prostate cancer. He's extremely knowledgeable about his problem. Many people with cancer have very little idea what's going on. They, unfortunately, can be told anything and they believe it.

Richard uses Neuro-Therapy, and as he went through the cancer treatments, he kept himself mentally positive, controlled damaging stress and learned to lessen the pain. He understood how the mental techniques enable the healing processes of the body to work as efficiently as possible.

Richard has a very good chance of licking this disease. As he works to meet that challenge, he is becoming more committed to writing a book. People who experience cancer, he feels, could benefit from a better understanding about dealing with the medical profession.

Cancer

We feel proud and excited for every one of the people who have improved their life by using this approach, but Hazel is one of the special ones. Hazel is now an avid hiker and bird watcher, she loves the outdoors. Six years ago when Hazel came for help, she had been in psychotherapy on and off for 18 years fighting depression. Those who have experienced depression can understand how devastated and helpless it can make a person feel. It wasn't the depression, though, that brought Hazel for help, she had developed cancer.

Today, it would be hard to recognize Hazel as the same person. She is living an enjoyable life, controlling depression herself without psychotherapy. It has been rare for people using this approach to maintain depression. Most learn it's quickly controlled. That is because they immediately start improving themselves on all three levels, physical, chemical and mental. They don't just cover up the symptom with pills or spend time discussing the problems in their life.

Hazels experience is even more special because, six years later, there is no sign of the cancer and she is not mentally preoccupied with fear of it. She realizes this approach helped her gain the strength to change and improve the entire course of her life. It gave her control over stress, depression and other negativity that undoubtedly played a role in the development of cancer.

We've worked to try to improve the methods of help that are offered to people, so they don't have to face these serious consequences of constant stress and anxiety.

There is so much this approach can do to help in fighting and possibly beating severe illnesses like cancer, that's why we have always had a policy of not charging those we could see who were facing life threatening conditions. We encourage all those trained in our methods to maintain that policy.

Medical science is clearly showing the role stress and anxiety can play in developing and worsening all types of conditions including cancer. Hazel is a positive example of the ability people have to turn around those negative patterns.

Young People

When someone so young, like Paige comes for help, it's really a treat. A lot of people seek out help after being sent by a doctor or maybe when they're in their forties or fifties with a drug or alcohol problem that has been going on for twenty years.

With young people, this approach can help them uncover their potential. Their problem may be, growing up without certain opportunities, having a learning disability that makes school a struggle, or just having a poor self image that causes them to make friends with what seems to be the wrong crowd. It's a good feeling to be able to help them straighten things out.

Major success can't be achieved every time, we don't claim that, but with this approach, we don't have to sit there for a lot of years with a young person discussing things...they know what their problems are!

They want some answers, some way to gain self control and make their life work better. Neuro-Therapy gives them some answers, it shows them how to handle their emotions better. It can help them get control over the negative areas of their life.

Even if a person can be seen for just three or four times, they will have changed in a good way. That person will be able to think and act more positively in all areas of their life.

Paige now realizes she has a lot of gifts and she's making changes, getting on with her life. She turned her love of music into success as a disc jockey entertaining at discotheques. She is now taking on the challenge of video production. She has the talent and now she has the positive self image to go as far as she wants in that field.

Academic Excellence

Doug is someone to be admired. He came from a rough background as a child and worked himself up in our society where, unfortunately, there is still a lot of prejudice.

Doug came for help to increase his concentration for studying and test taking. He was involved in school seeking a more challenging career.

Many people would like to change careers or get more education but are insecure about their abilities to succeed. Neuro-Therapy has helped a lot of people improve concentration, increase their retention of what they hear or read, but, most importantly, overcome the fear of failure that keeps them from going back to school or trying for certain jobs.

Anger/Stress

Do you ever find yourself driving to or from work with your stress level rising and think, "How can I get out of this awful commute?" Take someone like Art who drives for a living, he's on that highway every day for long hours. You know, after a while something has to give, the pressure finally gets to you and you've got to do something about it.

Art is an experienced truck driver, one of the best. He realized, though, that there had to be a way of learning to control frustration and stop the physical effects of constant stress. Art came for help and he continues to be amazed at the improvements he's made. He's learned how much self control a person can gain over stress and frustration by more effective use of their mind.

Art also enjoyed an unexpected benefit, but he still hasn't told the members of his bowling team why his average improved all of a sudden!

Smoking Control

Don's a fantastic dentist and an all around nice guy. When he came for help, it was to quit smoking. Like a lot of people, he'd tried unsuccessfully on his own. It's been over a year now and he hasn't smoked or craved cigarettes.

There are a lot of programs out there to help a person quit smoking. Some even claim a person can be programmed in one hour to quit smoking or other addictions. In developing Neuro-Therapy, we thought, lets be real, mental programming isn't the major issue. Unlike many people believe, quitting smoking isn't just a problem of weak will power. We feel this program is so successful because it improves a person on all three levels involved with a smoking addition, physical, chemical and mental.

Most of the early research with Neuro-Therapy centered on helping people with more serious conditions like cancer. We developed the smoking program to allow people, in a short period of time, to make some needed improvements in their life. It's rewarding to not only get a person to quit smoking comfortably in six days, but help them become more positive and learn to control their stress.

Although Don is doing fine, he was seen recently for some booster sessions. In this approach, there is a commitment to creating long-term non-smokers.

The smoking program has been rewarding because it reaches a lot of people who might not have sought help to control the effects of stress but who learned to do just that as a part of learning to control their addiction to cigarettes. We often refer to the smoking program as "The 50,000 Mile Tune Up".
